Changegoat LLC runs this site for one reason: so people who are facing a hard moment in their company can find us and start a conversation. We collect as little as that requires. This page says what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you type. When you subscribe to Goat Shit, we receive your email address. That is the extent of what you hand us.
When you load any page, our hosting provider records the ordinary server logs a web request produces: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. Form submissions also pass through a rate limiter that holds your IP address for a short window to block abuse.
We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. Embedded video on the site is served through Vimeo's privacy-enhanced player, which does not set tracking cookies.
How we use it
Contact form messages are delivered to Lukas Naugle so he can reply. Newsletter addresses are used to send Goat Shit and nothing else. Server logs are used to keep the site running and to diagnose problems.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use it to build profiles or to advertise to you.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of service providers to operate the site: Vercel for hosting, Resend for delivering contact form email, Buttondown for the newsletter, and Upstash for rate limiting. Each receives only the data its job requires and is bound by its own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept as ordinary business correspondence for as long as they are useful to the conversation they started. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link in any issue. Rate-limit records expire within minutes. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for its standard period.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through the contact form at changegoat.com/contact and we will handle it directly. You can unsubscribe from Goat Shit at any time using the link at the bottom of every issue.
Children
This site is for professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy in any way that matters, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
